Mental Health Techs (weekend) - Responsible for basic care, comfort and safety of patients. Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients and help facilitate the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu on the unit. Maintain regular communication with supervisor and co-workers. Supervises routine on the unit; provides guidance during hygiene, activities and group meeting. Observe patient behavior and intervene appropriately. Escort patients between locations within the facility. Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) in English effectively. Ability to be flexible regarding schedule variations, ability to work with all populations. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task. High school diploma or equivalent. One year inpatient or outpatient psychiatric experience with adults and/or adolescents preferred.
Housekeepers - Maintain friendly, efficient, attitude towards patients, customers, clients and co-workers. Maintain all assigned patient rooms, ancillary areas and department areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. Maintain assigned corridors with the correct preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in department policy as requested. Follow appropriate protocol following patient discharges or patient room transfers. Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the assigned area to protect patient safety and health. Inspects area for cleanliness. Ability to use universal precautions when disposing of solids, medical waste and bio-hazardous materials. Ability to use proper safety equipment. Thoroughly mop, vacuum, and wax floors in accordance with establish guidelines. Keep cart properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies; ensure all chemicals are properly labeled, and all equipment is in good working condition. Perform all other tasks as needed to maintain a clean and orderly environment. Maintain all required records and report necessary issues to supervisor. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) in English effectively. Ability to work well under time constraints. Ability to work flexible schedule. Knowledge of cleaning products and supplies. Organizational skills and ability to pay attention to details as required.
Dietary Aides - Prepare culinary delights. Daily preparation of food items. Execute the menu, ensuring a high level of performance and satisfaction. Help manage food purchasing, storage and inventory control. Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. Help create new recipes and write menus when needed. Demonstrate proper use of equipment and cooking techniques. Perform any function necessary for the success of the kitchen. Conduct regular inspections of the entire kitchen/dishwashing area and coolers and promptly act to correct deficiencies found during inspection. High school diploma or equivalent, flexible with schedule. Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) in English effectively. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Ability to take direction. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to reach, bend stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds. Ability to work in a team environment.
