Events

As a mental healthcare facility in San Antonio, we strive to provide resources to our community members and patients that allow them the necessary education, tools, and training to help those who have a mental health issue.

At San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, we are a facility that specializes in acute care for individuals who suffer from psychiatric and substance-abuse problems. With a patient-centered approach to treatment, we believe patient care goes beyond our programs, which is why we offer information on mental health training and mental health education seminars and events.

Mental Health Education and Events

Staying informed can make a difference to those who have a mental illness and family or friends of those who have a mental illness. Mental health education has become more critical than ever--with nearly one in five adults in the United States living with a mental illness, staying informed and engaging with our San Antonio community is key to the care we provide to ourselves or to others who may have a mental health issue.

Some of our past events have included:

  • Keynote Speakers
  • Movie Screenings
  • Appreciation Luncheons
  • Meet and Greet Events

With more events lined up in the future, we can’t wait to share them with the community and support our mental health education events.

Our Hospital and Team

The facility and care we provide to our patients are exceptional. With an individualized approach to treatment, we put the client first. Whether you are a patient at San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital or not, we would love to share our hospital with you. Many of our events are open to the public and provide resources relating to mental healthcare.

Ripple Effect Screening

At age 19, Kevin Hines attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Seventeen years later, he still struggles with many of the same symptoms that led him to attempt to take his life, but he is on a mission to use his story to help others stay alive.

September is Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month and San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital wants to share his story and offer resources for help. Join us for this special event.
