San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital's Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) programs begin at age 9 -17 and go through to ages 65+ who are dealing with continued recovery.
Our child/adolescent IOP deals primarily with mental health concerns and substance use / mis-use as a secondary concern. SABHH offers this program during the day so child / adolescent return home in the evening.
For adults (18+), SABHH programs focus on psychiatric concerns, substance abuse / mis-use issues or both. Our adult programs are offered 3 times a week either during the day or evening.
While in Intensive outpatient, patients will return to their medication management professional. IOP is ideal for the patient who has achieved some stability, but continues to need more intensive treatment.
Our ultimate goal, is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where our patients can continue their road to healing.
Patients participate Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 12:30pm. Hours are flexible based on each patient's needs.
*Weekly visits with a psychiatrist and therapist are not included at this level of care. Patients will receive community referrals for these services.
