Panic Disorder

- Sweating
- Accelerated and/or pounding heartbeat
- Trembling or Shaking
- Shortness of breath
- Feelings of doom or loss of control
Phobias
A phobia is defined as an intense, irrational fear or aversion to specific objects or situations. The fear of those suffering from phobias will be drastically out of proportion with the danger presented by such object or situation. Common phobias include agoraphobia (fear of open or crowded spaces) and arachnophobia (fear of spiders).
People with phobias:
- Take excessive steps to avoid specific objects or situations
- Excessively worry about encountering said objects or situations
- Experience intense anxiety upon encountering feared objects or situations
